Six sitting Members are removed off the TMC’s roster
Dr. Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar will run from Barasat; Professor Saugata Roy will run from Dum Dum; Mala Roy and Sudip Bandyopadhyay will run from Kolkata North and South; and Harbour. While Prasun Banerjee, a former captain of the Indian football team, will run from Howrah, Kalyan Bandyopadhyay will run from Srirampur.
Disregarding the rumors that she won’t get a ticket, Mohua Moitra will run from Krishnagar. Former state minister Shantiram Mahato, who narrowly lost the 2021 Assembly election, is running from Purulia. The incumbent Taldangra MLA Arup Chakraborty will run from Bankura. Gopal Lama, a Darjeeling native, will compete.
Debangshu Bhattacharya, the IT chief for the Trinamul Congress, is from Tamluk. Arambag’s Mitali Bag will run in lieu of Aparupa Poddar.
