Some Bengaluru-bound flights from Akasa Air are canceled

Sources reported on Thursday that Akasa Air, which is struggling with pilot troubles, has canceled certain flights from Bengaluru, despite the airline’s claim that it has rationalized the network to guarantee high operational dependability.

The airline’s hub is in Bengaluru, and it runs over 700 flights per day.

Several flights from Bengaluru have reportedly been canceled by the airline, which has been operating for more than a year. However, it was not possible to determine specifics right away.

“As we have already said, we were obliged to cancel a number of flights in the period between July and August 2023 because a small group of pilots abdicated their responsibilities and departed the organization without giving the required contractual notice period.

A spokeswoman for Akasa Air released a statement saying, “Since then, we have rationalized our network to guarantee that we give our clients the best levels of operational dependability, as we did throughout the first 11 months of our existence.

16 cities are served by the airline.

With its cutting-edge pilot planning and training programs, the airline is “now squarely back in growth mode,” the spokesman said.

The spokesman added, adding that the airline is financially sound, “We look forward to opening up several domestic and international destinations within the fiscal year 2023–24 as we take delivery of several additional aircraft in the remaining months of this fiscal year.”
