Some light rain is expected in Delhi and the surrounding areas today

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that Delhi and the surrounding National Capital Region (NCR) had light rain on Tuesday morning, with a low temperature of 15 degrees Celsius. The IMD also predicted further rains throughout the day.

The national capital is expected to see a typically overcast sky with light rain or drizzle throughout the day, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

In the vicinity of a few locations in Delhi, including Narela, Bawana, Burari, Rohini, Badili, Model Town, Karawal Nagar, Azadpur, Pitampura, Delhi University, Civil Lines, Dilshad Garden, Seemapuri, Pashchim Vihar, Punjabi Bagh, Kashmiri Gate, Seelampur, Shahadra, Vivek Vihar, Rajauri Garden, Patel Nagar, Red Fort, and Preet Vihar, the MeT department forecast light to moderate intensity rainstorm.

“Light to moderate intensity rain would occur over and adjoining areas of few places of Delhi NCR (Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Ballabhgarh) Barwala, Jind, Hissar, Gohana, Hansi, Meham, Sonipat, Rohtak, Kharkhoda, Rewari, Palwal, Bawal, Nuh, Aurangabad (Haryana) Bijnaur, Hastinapur, Chandpur, Daurala, Meerut, Modinagar, Kithor, Garhmukteshwar, Pilakhua, Hapur, Sambhal, Billari, Chandausi, Bahajoi (U.P.) Bhiwari, Tizara (Rajasthan) during next 2 hours,” The Indian Meteorological Department warned that

In some areas of Madhya Pradesh, the Meteorological Office has also forecast rain and hailstorms over the next several days.

The minimum temperature in Delhi is 12 degrees, three degrees warmer than the season’s average.
“A trough line that emerged from Chhattisgarh to Karnataka to North Tamil Nadu, North Kerala, and there is also a Western Disturbance active in the region is the reason for the shift in the state’s meteorological conditions. In several areas of the state, such as Anuppur, Shahdol, Umaria, Dindori, Katni, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Seoni, Mandla, and Balaghat, there is a chance of rain and thunderstorms due to the presence of a trough line. Parmendra Kumar, a meteorologist at IMD Bhopal, said that hailstorms may even occur in certain locations.

He also said that there is a chance of rain and thunderstorms in a few districts in the state, including Narmadapuram Betul, Harda, Burhanpur, and Khandwa.

The meteorologist went on to say that yesterday night’s low was 12.4 degrees and the high was 27.6 degrees in Bhopal, the state capital.
