The Navarathana projects of Jagan Mohan Reddy are nothing more than nine lies: Chandrababu Naidu

KURNOOL: Former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and leader of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), N Chandrababu Naidu, has blasted the electoral manifesto of Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), calling it ‘Nava Mosalu’, or nine deceptions.

Reddy claimed that 99% of his manifesto had been implemented, while Naidu questioned the real effect of his manifesto on people’s lives.

The TDP head said, “Our Super 6 schemes are proven to be immensely successful and widely acclaimed,” during a public gathering in Kurnool.

The Navarathana plans of Jagan Mohan Reddy are nothing more than Nava Mosalu, or nine deceptions. The public will grade Jagan Reddy’s manifesto with a zero. Has the people’s quality of life changed in any noticeable way, even if Jagan Reddy claims that 99 percent of his platform has been implemented? Rather, individuals have become deeply indebted.”

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the supremo of the YSRCP and chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, criticized the TDP earlier on Saturday for its electoral promises, claiming that they were just meant to deceive people into voting for them since the state’s budget could not carry them out.

“Chandrababu Naidu is coming back to deceive the people once again with Super Six and Super Ten. TDP’s Super Six costs Rs 1,21,619 crores a year,” Jagan told reporters, adding that the exchequer is unable to cover these expenses. TDP is using these funds to carry out its election promises.

In the lead-up to the Andhra Pradesh Assembly and Lok Sabha elections, both parties have been active. Reddy unveiled ‘Navaratnalu Plus,’ the YSRCP’s electoral manifesto, which has been slightly modified from the 2019 version. Meanwhile, if the TDP wins power, they would pledge a new ‘Super Six’ vision for Andhra Pradesh that included the creation of 20 lakh jobs and a monthly unemployment benefit of Rs 3,000.

On May 13, there will be concurrent assembly and Lok Sabha elections in Andhra Pradesh. June 4 is when the votes will be tallied.

With a coalition including the Jana Sena Party and the BJP, the main opposition party TDP will challenge the YSRCP in power.

There are 25 Lok Sabha seats in Andhra Pradesh. The YSRCP gained a landslide majority of 151 seats in the 2019 Assembly elections, while the TDP was limited to 23 seats. The TDP was only able to get three seats in the Lok Sabha elections, whereas the YSRCP secured 22 seats.
