Three Days After The Third Militant Attack In Jammu and Kashmir’s Pattan, A Cop Is Shot Dead

In the Baramulla area of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, a police officer was slain by terrorists.

In the last three days, there have been three violent incidents in the Union Territory.

According to a PTI report citing authorities, militants fired shots at Jammu and Kashmir Police Head Constable Ghulam Mohammad Dar during the assault today outside his home in Kralpora, in the Pattan region of the district in north Kashmir.

They said that after being taken to a neighboring hospital, Dar passed away from his wounds.

In as many days, there have been three such insurgent attacks in Kashmir.

Earlier on Sunday, terrorists opened fire on Masroor Ahmad Wani, a police officer, when he was playing cricket at the Eidgah pitch in Srinagar’s Downtown neighborhood, seriously injuring him.

In the Pulwama area of south Kashmir, a non-local laborer from Uttar Pradesh was shot and killed on Monday.

Following a spike in terrorist assaults, security personnel in Utah have increased the number of car and pedestrian checks.

Every major crossroads in Srinagar has a mobile vehicle checkpoint, and there are other checkpoints at the city’s exits.

Terrorist infiltration efforts coincide with the rise in violence.

The largest ceasefire breach along the international boundary in the Union Territory since the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan in February 2021 occurred last week.

On Thursday, unprovoked gunfire and mortar shelling in the Arnia area along the border resulted in injuries to a Border Security Force (BSF) soldier. Residential areas were damaged by mortar munitions, forcing dozens of civilians to escape their houses.
