To win the Nandyal MLA seat, YSRC and TDP would stop at nothing

The decision The opposition TDP is trying to sabotage YSRC’s efforts to hold onto the Nandyal Assembly seat, while the former is desperate to hold onto it.

The TDP is making every effort to win the seat in collaboration with the BJP and Jana Sena.

The newly created district’s headquarters are located in Nandyal. Lord Shiva’s chariot, the Nandi sculptures, are its main draw. Among the well-known temples in the area are Yaganti, Mahanandi, Ahobilam, and Srisailam.

YSRC’s Silpa Ravichandra Kishore Reddy, also known as Silpa Ravi Reddy, is currently the Assembly representative for Nandyal and is running for office a second time.

However, the TDP has put forth its longtime ally, NMD Farooq. He is the party’s most senior leader and has considerable influence over the Muslim community. In the undivided state of Andhra Pradesh, he held the positions of deputy speaker and minister after being elected to the Assembly in 1985, 1994, and 1999.

Following the establishment of the Nandyal district, the 42-ward Nandyal town has been dealing with a number of problems, including flooding during every wet season, traffic, subterranean drainage, and drinking water.

Voters’ decisions during the election might be directly impacted by these concerns. In the past, all sides committed to addressing them, but not much has been accomplished.

Low-lying colonies are constantly submerged by rain. According to G Rama Subbaiah, who lives in the town’s SBI colony, the town unexpectedly floods since there is no adequate drainage infrastructure. Because of the rain, the drains are unable to handle the large quantities of water. The worst-affected colonies include Saleem Nagar, Saraswathi Nagar, Harijanapeta, NGOs colony, Sai Baba Nagar, RTC Bus station, and other low-lying portions of the town.

Flooding forces the automobile traffic to become an unwilling victim. In addition, the situation is made worse by the encroachments along the route.

The new district headquarters has too much traffic to handle because of the establishment of several administrative offices on its small highways.

The bus stand road to Burma Circle, the route from Sanjeevaiah Nagar to Srinivasa Center, the City Bus Stand Road, and the Bus Stand route to Gandhi Chowk have all turned into driving tests. The issue is made worse by the lack of proper parking spaces at shopping centers, supermarkets, textile showrooms, schools, universities, marriage halls, and hospitals in the area.

According to M Abraham, a private employee of Insurance Corporation, flooding is yet another significant issue facing the area. Problems with drinking water arise every summer. The Velugodu reservoir, from which water is extracted, has dried up, which is concerning.

that the constituency saw progress during his term.

He claimed to have almost completed all of the commitments he had made, including building a flyover, constructing roads in colonies, enlarging different sections of the roadways, and taking care of drinking water problems.

However, NMD Farooq, the TDP contender, is accelerating his campaign with the help of his coalition allies. He is attempting to arouse voters’ recollections of the advancements he oversaw as the MLA.
