Two people died when a landslide in HP’s Shimla district crushes an SUV

SHIMLA: A landslide in the Jubbal region of the Shimla district in Himachal Pradesh claimed the lives of two individuals who were in their car. An SUV was buried behind debris and rocks that tumbled down a slope near Sanel on Sunday afternoon, according to the police.

Machines that move dirt were used to clear the debris. According to authorities, the bodies of two males were removed from the damaged SUV and sent to Jubbal Hospital for a postmortem.

According to the police, the SUV was buried in the landslide on the Hatkoti-Paonta Sahib national highway between Kurdu and Sanel.

The immediate victims of the incident were Vishambar, 50, the owner of the SUV from Palakan village in Rohru tehsil, and Satish, 52, from Ghara village in the same tehsil.
Minister of State for Education Rohit Thakur expressed sorrow and stated that the families of the departed are receiving all the support that is available.

District administration representatives responded to the scene of the accident after learning about it to conduct relief and rescue efforts, according to Thakur, who also noted that traffic on the highway has now resumed.
