With Sanjeev Kaushal on vacation, TVSN Prasad assumes leadership of Haryana Chief Secretary

As incumbent Sanjeev Kaushal has taken a leave of absence, the Haryana government has appointed 1988-batch IAS officer TVSN Prasad as Chief Secretary.

In addition, Prasad will be in charge of the Home Department, Revenue and Disaster Management, Vigilance, Parliamentary Affairs, Human Resources, Personnel and Training, and General Administration.

A day prior to the implementation of the code of conduct for the Lok Sabha elections, the government reorganized the bureaucracy by appointing Ramesh Chander Bidhan as the Secretary of the Haryana State Commission for Scheduled Castes and IAS officer TL Satyaprakash as the Managing Director of Haryana Minerals Ltd. in New Delhi. Palwal and Nuh have appointed Brahmjeet Singh Rangi and Pradeep Singh as their respective district municipal commissioners.

These officials’ additional responsibilities would be in addition to their current ones. Additionally, 17 Haryana Civil Services (HCS) were moved by the incoming Nayab Singh Saini administration. 2011-batch HCS officer Vivek Kalia will serve as Additional Director (Administration) of Information, Public Relations and Languages, and Art and Cultural Affairs in addition to serving as OSD to the Chief Minister (Jan Samvad).

In addition to her current responsibilities, ADGP (Administration) Kala Ramachandran has been appointed to the OSD, Heritage, and Tourism Department. When MD Sinha retires on April 30, she will assume responsibility as the department’s principal secretary for heritage and tourism. Following his resignation, PK Das, the chairman of Haryana Power Utilities, has been suggested for the position of chairman of the State Environment Impact Assessment Authority.
