Before the 2024 IPL, the Lucknow Super Giants and Vijay Dahiya part ways

Vijay Dahiya, the assistant coach for the Lucknow Super Giants of the Indian Premier League, has left the team. After working with LSG for two years, the former cricket player sent a goodbye statement on social media. Additionally, the brand shared a gratitude statement for Dahiya’s contributions.

“Time to say goodbye… LSG. Lucknow Super Giants, the last two years have been an amazing experience working with the team. Dahiya said on Instagram, “Wishing team LSG all the very best @lucknowsupergiants #lucknowsupergiants.”

After splitting with Andy Flower, LSG, who entered the IPL in 2022, made the decision to employ Justin Langer as their head coach for the next season. Gautam Gambhir has returned to Kolkata Knight Riders as a trainer after leaving LSG as well. During his playing career, the southpaw has guided the KKR to two IPL championships.

In May 2018, Langer was named the Australian cricket team’s coach. Australia won the Ashes series under his leadership, beating England 4-0. Not only that, but Australia also won the T20 World Cup for the first time in 2021, Langer’s term. Apart from this, Langer led the Perth Scorchers to three Big Bash championship victories.

Following the signing of Langer, Sridharan Sriram, his previous spin coach consultant for Australian cricket, has joined the Lucknow Super Giants as an assistant coach for the forthcoming campaign.

In the meanwhile, Lucknow filled every available spot at the IPL 2024 Auction, amassing a roster of 25 players at full strength.

LSG completed their team for the following IPL season by making six purchases in the IPL 2024 Auction, picking up the services of two bowlers, three all-rounders, and one batter in the process.
