Ben Stokes is supported by Harry Brook after being left off the England’s World Cup roster

Harry Brook is without a doubt one of the greatest young hitters in the current generation of cricketers. He is among the finest, as shown by his records in both Tests and T20s.

It was unexpected that he was left out of England’s team that will compete in the ODI World Cup in India in 2023, but it is obvious that Ben Stokes’ re-inclusion in the team had something to do with it.

After the Northern Superchargers’ game against the London Spirit in the Hundred, Brook discussed not being chosen for the ODI World Cup team. Naturally, it is frustrating, but there is nothing I can do at this time to change it. Simply said, you must proceed. I’m making an effort to stop thinking about it.

When compared to Brook, Ben Stokes adds experience and the ability to execute effectively under duress. In the 2019 ODI World Cup final versus New Zealand, he was named England’s Player of the Match. The tournament was hosted in England. With his extensive experience in the Indian Premier League (IPL), Stokes is also expected to be more used to playing in Indian conditions. While Brook struggled in the IPL with the Sunrisers Hyderabad, England most likely relied on Stokes because of his experience playing in sub-continental conditions.

Tim Paine, a former Australian Test captain, voiced his opinion on Brook being left out and said that the English Test captain picks and chooses which events he wants to participate in, believing that it is unfair to people who have been training hard for the previous 12 months.\

However, Brook was not dissatisfied to have Ben Stokes take his place. “They said I was probably going to miss out this time with Stokesy coming back,” he said. I can’t really complain since he is one of the greatest cricket players ever, can I?

The team lead by Jos Buttler will attempt to win England’s second major prize during his time as captain as they defend their crown. In the 2022 tournament, which Australia will host, Buttler guided the England T20 team to their second T20 World Cup victory.
