Following CSK’s victory against SRH, Ruturaj Gaikwad made a “Special Mention” to the off-colored Ravindra Jadeja

Star all-around player Ravindra Jadeja received particular recognition from Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, who described his ball-handling exploits as a “match-turning spell” after CSK defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 78 runs on Sunday in the current Indian Premier League. With the game under control, CSK placed SRH’s back against the wall in front of a sold-out crowd at Chepauk. They easily defeated the highly skilled SRH team, mostly because of the impactful stint of seasoned fast bowler Tushar Deshpande.

Two of his four scalps came in his first over of the evening. He had a three-over spell of 4/27 at the close of the evening.

Gaikwad highlighted Jadeja’s stint and said that his continued usage of the ball was “match-turning” due to the rainy circumstances, even though Deshpande was the player of the match.

“(Deshpande) is bowling pretty well. His efforts are bearing fruit. And a special thanks to Jaddu. Going for 22 runs in these rainy circumstances was the game-winning stroke, Gaikwad said at the post-match press conference.

The seasoned spinner picked up a vital wicket in Nitish Reddy during an efficient four-over performance that saw him give up only 22 runs.

The toss was won by SRH captain Pat Cummins, who then elected to bat for CSK. Gaikwad, who is still in the running for his second century in the game, lamented the chance lost and praised his team’s effort as a whole.

“I’m feeling quite well. It’s difficult to play in such damp circumstances, and winning by almost 70 runs is a masterful effort. was, at the toss, a blessing in disguise. I was not considering one hundred. I wanted to confirm that we reach 220-ish. I was let down by the four or five hits I missed at the back end. I was angry during the inning break because I thought it may make a difference. Luckily, however, it was sufficient. We made a few mistakes in the last game. Occasionally a few stray balls,” Gaikwad said.

“We performed really well on the field today. adhered to the schedule and was aware of the requirements. You always want the additional 20 runs when it comes to the impact player rule. Never be aware of the par score. Not obtaining wickets in the powerplay was one issue. The only way it can make the opposition uneasy is in that manner, Gaikwad said.

Recalling the game, SRH sent CSK in to bat, and CSK won with 212/3 with to heroics from Gaikwad (98) and Daryl Mitchell (52) and a cameo from Shivam Dube (39*).

SRH, in response, found it difficult to form alliances and bundled out on 134.
