‘Fun to pretend to be a fan,’ said Ravindra Jadeja in honor of the ‘great’ MS Dhoni on his visit to Ranchi

NEW DELHI: Mahendra Singh Dhoni bestowed onto Ravindra Jadeja the affectionate moniker “Sir Ravindra Jadeja”; Jadeja visited Dhoni’s Ranchi, Jharkhand, home recently to pay respects to the former captain and close friend.
Having played together for many years in different Indian teams and as representatives of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the Indian Premier League, Jadeja and Dhoni’s relationship goes beyond the cricket field.

For the fourth Test match between India and England at the JSCA Stadium, Jadeja traveled to Ranchi and couldn’t pass up the chance to catch up with Dhoni in his birthplace. Posing in front of Dhoni’s house, Jadeja shared photos of his “fan-moment” with the cricket star.
Jadeja said, “Fun to pose as a fan in front of the legend’s house,” in a post that went along with the picture, expressing how much the two cricket players respect and admire one other.

Beyond their professional partnership, Jadeja and Dhoni’s friendship represents the deep bond created over years of shared experiences both on and off the cricket field.
Despite the difficulties the club had at that time, Jadeja and Dhoni’s friendship remained untarnished even though Jadeja temporarily took over as CSK’s captain during the 2022 Indian Premier League season.
Their lasting relationship is proof of the camaraderie and respect that are common in the cricket world while both players pursue their own cricketing careers.
