IND vs WI 2023: Virat Kohli Splits After Rohit Sharma and Yuzvendra Chahal’s Antics

The squad will be experimenting, according to India captain Rohit Sharma, as they get ready for the 2023 ODI World Cup, which begins in around two months. With the visitors changing their batting order in the first ODI of the current series against the West Indies before benching Rohit and Virat Kohli in the second, the team has stuck true to his comments.

The West Indies pulled themselves even with an excellent performance during the second match in Barbados, erasing the team’s 1-0 advantage in the three-match series.

Rohit Kohli saw the Indian batting collapse from the dressing room despite being 90/0 at one point and getting dismissed for 181.

As the hosts inched closer to the goal during West Indies’ chase, Rohit could be seen having a good time in the team dugout, making fun of Yuzvendra Chahal for leaving Virat Kohli and Jaydev Unadkat in splits.

It was clear why Rohit and Kohli fell down the order in the first ODI since the goal was to give white-ball specialists more playing experience and there was a short target to chase. The group did encounter several difficulties before beating the goal.

In the second, they went one step further and chose Sanju Samson and Axar Patel instead of Rohit and Kohli, who were both rested. Chahal was oddly disregarded once again with Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar in charge of the spin department.

However, none of the two adjustments was successful for the visitors. Axar scored 1 off eight after strolling in after Samson, who batted at No. 3, managed 9 off 19 during his innings.

West Indies successfully surpassed the goal in 36.4 overs to force a final thanks in part to Axar’s two overs for four runs without picking up a wicket.

At Trinidad’s Brian Lara Stadium, the third and final game will take place on Tuesday.
