IPL: Gaikwad leads CSK over Sunrisers Hyderabad with a resounding win

In the Indian Premier League, Ruturaj Gaikwad led the Chennai Super Kings to a 78-run win against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

In their most recent match, CSK was defeated by the Lucknow Super Giants by six wickets, but on Sunday, they decisively turned things around.

With 98 runs off 54 balls, including 10 fours and three sixes, Captain Gaikwad was in excellent form. Daryl Mitchell chipped in with a helpful 52.

After that, Tushar Deshpande took over with the ball and went 4-27, dismissing Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Anmolpreet Singh, the top three players in Hyderabad.

With a 26-ball 32, Aiden Markram provided some fight, but the game was all but over when captain Pat Cummins was also dismissed by Deshpande.

After being bowled out for 134, Jaydev Unadkat was the last player to fall, as CSK overtook Hyderabad to take third place in the rankings.

Gaikwad is now second on the list of IPL run scorers this season with 447 runs scored in nine innings, only surpassed by the legendary Virat Kohli (500).

But Gaikward, who is averaging 63.86, has a higher strike rate of 149.49.
