Mustafizur Rahman’s IPL Stay Extended by BCB For CSK vs. PBKS Match

Mustafizur Rahman’s No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) has been extended by one day by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). He will also be eligible for the team’s May 1 encounter against the Punjab Kings (PBKS), delaying his return to Bangladesh until April 30.

As a result, Mustafizur may now play in CSK’s back-to-back games against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on April 28 and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on April 19 and May 1.

Following Bangladesh’s home Twenty20 International series against Zimbabwe from May 3–12, Mustafizur will return to his birthplace for a T20I series against the United States of America in Texas on May 21.

The BCB’s deputy manager of cricket operations, Shahriar Nafees, was reported by ESPNcricinfo as saying, “We had given Mustafizur a leave to play in the IPL till April 30 but since Chennai has a match on May 1, we have extended his leave by a day.”
In five games, Mustafizur has claimed 10 wickets at an average of 18.30, including his first-ever four-wicket performance in the current 17th IPL season. Since joining the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the 2021 season, this is his best IPL performance.

The left-arm seamer traveled to Dhaka last week to finish the T20 World Cup visa requirements for the United States.

The left-arm bowler, who had only taken two wickets in the Twenty20 International series against Sri Lanka, had lost his place in the Bangladesh ODI squad, but the wickets have come at the perfect moment.

But Mustafizur, who has a guaranteed spot in the Bangladeshi T20 World Cup team, is their most successful bowler in T20Is.
