“People can converse,” Virat Kohli responds appropriately to those who criticize his strike rate

Veteran batsman Virat Kohli of Royal Challengers Bengaluru responded appropriately to those who questioned his T20 strike rate when, on Sunday, he hit 70 runs to help his team win the Indian Premier League (IPL) with the fewest number of balls left.

Will Jacks and Virat Kohli put on a spectacular display of boundary hitting at the Narendra Modi Stadium as RCB defeated the Gujarat Titans by nine wickets in only twenty-four deliveries.

After leading RCB to victory once again, Kohli was the talk of the town after hitting 51 runs off of 43 deliveries against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Even if the outside noise doesn’t phase the sturdy hitter, Kohli’s bat demonstrated a masterpiece on Sunday as he scored 70 in 44 deliveries at a strike rate of 159.09. This helped to quiet his detractors.

“Not much; the only people discussing this stuff are the ones who bring up strike rates and my poor spin game. For me, it’s all about winning the games for the team, which is why you’ve been doing this for fifteen years. You’ve won games for your teams, and if you haven’t been in that position yourself, I’m not sure why you sit there and discuss the game from the box. People may discuss their presumptions all day long, but for me, it’s like muscle memory because those who have done it consistently know what’s going on,” Kohli said after the match.

RCB has had difficulty finding the crucial purple patch that is required to maintain their hopes of earning a postseason berth.

They lost six straight games before winning their next two, including their convincing nine-wicket victory.

“We wanted to play for our dignity, to stand up for ourselves. Our preferred style of play is one in which we attack more, see the ball more, and have fielders risk their lives to do so. We cannot continue to play the way we did in the first half of the competition. With the exception of the past two games, we haven’t performed up to par, but we simply want to keep going because the dressing room dynamic is fantastic. We want to perform for the people who have been supporting us as well as for ourselves and to have some self-respect for why we are playing at this level,” Kohli said.

When the match began, Sai Sudharsan (86) and Shahrukh Khan (58) blitzed the opposition to a respectable score of 200/3 after GT was placed to bat.

Following the departure of captain Faf du Plessis, Kohli and Jacks shocked GT’s bowling unit with a 166-run partnership, sealing a 9-wicket victory for RCB.
