Slitting his sister’s throat for her affair, the UP man carried the severed head to the police station before being arrested

After reportedly killing his sister in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, by slicing her throat over a love affair, a man was detained on Friday. The guy then proceeded to the police station while carrying his sister’s severed head.

Mohd. Riyaz, a 22-year-old male, is accused of slitting his sister’s neck with a sharp object while carrying her head to the police station, according to Additional Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Mishra.

After a dispute with her brother, the deceased, named as Aashifa (18), was reportedly murdered by Riyaz close to their home.

Riyaz didn’t like the guy his sister was seeing or her affair.

This occurs after the victim and her lover, who was from the same community, just eloped.

A police crew arrived at the scene of the incident to gather further information and took the corpse for a postmortem.

The accused has been taken into custody after a complaint was filed. The probe is still ongoing.
