The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved the creation of an agriculture and technology university in kushinagar and the renaming of Prayagraj’s law university

The Mahatma Buddha Agriculture and Technology University will be established in the Kushinagar district, according to the Uttar Pradesh government’s clearance on Wednesday. The Cabinet also gave Chitrakoot’s Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang University state university status at a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Surya Pratap Shahi, the minister of agriculture, made the announcements.

The 10 districts in the area would be served by the planned university in Kushinagar, which will be built on more than 390 acres of land for around Rs 750 crore. The university’s foundation stone is slated to be placed next month, and construction is anticipated to be finished by 2026. In the meanwhile, the state legislature will hear a separate bill relating Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang University from the state government.

The allocation of free land for the construction of an Indo-Israel Centre of Excellence for Fruits in Kaushambi was authorised during the Cabinet meeting. The National Law University in Prayagraj has been renamed Dr. Rajendra Prasad National Law University by the Cabinet.

Additionally, the public-private partnership (PPP) concept for the construction of heliports in Agra and Mathura was approved by the Uttar Pradesh Cabinet.

The committee also approved the tender papers for the establishment of medical colleges in Baghpat, Mainpuri, Hathras, Kasganj, Mahoba, and Hamirpur districts, according to Agriculture Minister Shahi.
