UP: Father and Son Beat Up 7-Year-Old For Sitting Inside Their Agra Store

After beating a seven-year-old child for reportedly sitting inside their store near the Taj Mahal, two people were taken into custody by the police in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. The event came to light when the footage of the incident, which was taken on the shop’s CCTV, went viral.

The child – who works as a ragpicker — was seated inside the footwear store, the police claimed. Later, when he stepped outside and sat inside an adjacent crockery business, the owner of the footwear store and his son allegedly came over and beat him up, according to a story published in India Today.

In the CCTV clip, the youngster can be seen eating something while sitting inside the crockery store when the father-son combo — named as Shekhar Singh and his son Yogesh — approach and start hitting the boy. In the video – lasting roughly 45 seconds — the couple can be abusing the youngster, hitting and kicking him.

But two other guys who were in the store with me decided to remain quiet witnesses to the occurrence.

The police reportedly apprehended the father and his kid after discovering the video, according to Assistant Commissioner of Police Sayed Areed Ahmed.

Speaking about the victim’s state, Ahmed said that the youngster was hurt and sent to a nearby hospital for treatment.

A 10-year-old pupil in Ludhiana was viciously beaten by a teacher in September, and the instructor also ordered two other adults to hold the boy’s wrists and legs.

According to reports, the instructor warned the youngster not to tell anybody about the two days that the boy had been mistreated.

But when the mother of the kid saw that he was in discomfort and had trouble walking, she looked into the matter and made a complaint.

Earlier in July, in a horrifying incident, a tourist from Delhi — in Agra — who was come to view the Taj Mahal was beaten up by devotees when his automobile struck one of them. A police inquiry was launched after the incident’s footage went popular on social media.

On camera, the guy is shown being beaten with sticks by the mob while pleading with them to stop. Several social media users tagged Uttar Pradesh police in the video after it went viral in an attempt to draw their notice. After then, the Tajganj police station made the required moves and detained five people in relation to the matter.
