UP: The government will assist KGBV girls in selecting a safe job

At Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas (KGBVs), major efforts will be made to ensure that girls get a quality education in addition to securing their futures, health, and a nutritious nutrition.

On July 3, the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya wardens, the academic staff, accountants, and the district coordinator for female education met virtually to discuss this and offer directions.

In light of this, authorities stated on Saturday that girls should be helped to set future objectives so they would know what to do.

It is noteworthy that the Yogi Government offers free residential education and the advantage of skill development to the state’s talented and economically underprivileged females via KGBVs. The government is dedicated to helping the girls of the state achieve the highest levels of achievement via these institutions.

An in-depth analysis of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya activities was done at the conference. Director General Vijay Kiran Anand gave the order to enrol girls up to the allowed enrollment limit based on the list of Never Enrolled and Out of School girls provided by the Block Education Officer to Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas in order to guarantee girls’ full attendance through Aadhaar verification.

Staff members and female students should report their daily attendance on the Prerna portal. If a lady student’s attendance is noted on the Prerna portal but she is not present at school, the responsible warden would face harsh punishment.

Through DBT, money is being provided to ensure that the girls get their stationery, bangles, uniforms, and other supplies on schedule. In accordance with the menu’s criteria for quality and quantity, food should be served. An entirely balanced diet need to be provided for all the females. The KGBV warden will directly be in charge of overseeing the kitchen in their KGBV.

Every lady should decide on her job route and make future objectives. This justifies providing support with career choice. To help the girls be better prepared to tackle the difficulties of the future by recognising their own skills, thorough information on the career path they have selected should also be given.

The welfare of young girls must come first. The Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas are off-limits to visitors. No employee, including a teacher or student, will leave the building without noting it in the movement log.

When an inspection is conducted, harsh action will be taken against the warden if the name of the student’s guardian, the student’s name, and the date and time of leaving the school are not recorded in the movement register and the student is discovered to be missing.

One Hindi word, one English word, and one mathematical formula will be written on the notice board of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayas as part of the “One word, one formula” activity innovation. To answer the questions, utilise word definitions, synonyms, antonyms, word placement in phrases, and mathematical calculations.

All the girls will practise and utilise the words and formulae provided each day by keeping a journal of this exercise, noting the phrases and formulas with the date. By participating in this exercise, the girls will develop a 700–800 word vocabulary over the course of three years, becoming fluent in both language and mathematics.

Additionally, the following guidelines were provided:

– Every year, Rs 2 lakh is provided as upkeep for each KGBV; this money must be used entirely, and all KGBV-related tasks must be finished on time.

– Three times a day, the physical presence of females will be noted, and records must be preserved. If not, the warden and employees will be held accountable.

– All females should have regular health exams, and health cards should be created for each girl.

– The area beneath the stairs in the school should be turned into an open library. Every girl has to be inspired to study alone for two to three hours each day.

– It is not advisable to keep curiosity boxes closed. Computers and curiosity boxes should be used in every situation.

– The kids should routinely study the maths curriculum from Khan Academy and IIT Gandhinagar.

Only those females who attend scientific courses and complete intermediate-level coursework will be admitted to Class 9.

– Girls should be enrolled in 56 upgraded KGBVs to begin skill development training provided by the Skill Development Mission.
