In general, it is advised to start saving from one’s pay as soon as they begin to make money rather than using it all immediately. Savings are made with the intention of investing them later in life, purchasing property, or using them in an emergency. Similar to this, an old Chinese couple saved money their whole lives, and what they did with it in the future would warm your heart.

According to reports, Hubei, China natives Ma Ju, 90, and her husband Yan Xueyong made headlines after donating almost Rs 12 crore to improve their town. Ma Ju was allegedly one of the first female paratroopers in China. She first met Yan Xueyong, a former paratrooper, while working at this position.

Ma Ju, who did not come from a wealthy family, served in the People’s Liberation Army before switching to the paratrooper program in 1962. She had a constant desire to contribute to her nation.

After getting married, they committed their lives to doing scientific research for the military and creating oxygen jackets and protective blankets for troops. Both individuals used to prioritize conserving money and spend little on themselves. According to rumors, the pair hasn’t purchased new clothing in a long time. They had an outdated phone and lived in a run-down home. They formerly wore shoes that cost $2 (or around Rs 160).

The couple made the decision to give their community their whole 12-crore savings one day so that it could develop and provide amenities like child education. They think that educating the youth is crucial and will aid in the village’s continued growth and development.

According to reports, they had the idea to donate all of their assets in 2018. When they got to Mulan County, they spoke about it with the locals as well. The bank employees alerted the police after wondering whether it may be a fraud. The couple had in fact saved a significant amount of money and only purchased necessities for themselves, the police learned.

Ma Ju reportedly managed to save practically all of her salary. They had the opinion that if kids have a decent education, they may achieve in life and help their hometown prosper as well.
