Delhi often makes news for its pollution-caused haze. In its neighboring states, stubble burning is the primary source of pollution, which has a significant effect on the Air Quality Index (AQI). Although burning one’s beard has long been an issue, one Indore lady saw an opportunity. She started growing mushrooms from stubble and is now providing the public with nutritious products. An Indore-born physician named Pooja Dubey Pandey made the decision to grow mushrooms on a stubble farm.

It was while visiting Delhi that she had this wonderful notion. She thought to herself, “Why not turn this issue into an opportunity?” when she saw the pollution in Delhi. In the end, she started growing mushrooms and made a little positive environmental contribution. In addition, she is educating the young people who may support her on her future voyage. Because of her effort, she has been making news and is now making a nice living from it.
