Martin Malik, 8, of Haryana breaks a world record in kickboxing

After the third-grade boy broke the world record with his outstanding skill, sports champion Martin Malik gained international notoriety. In under three minutes, the eight-year-old prodigy from Sonipat, Haryana, struck the punching bag with an astounding 1,700 quick strikes.

Savita and Sanjay Malik are proud parents of Martin Malik. Martin’s father, a former national athlete himself, saw how the epidemic was interfering with everyday life and enforcing lockdowns and brought sports equipment for his son to exercise. Martin spent his time polishing his boxing techniques while the majority of the kids were occupied with their online studies.

Martin, who was six and a half years old, gave his training his whole attention. His unrelenting dedication eventually led him to accomplish a remarkable feat: breaking a world record. Martin’s father was astounded by the incredible speed with which he threw his blows one of those days while he practiced boxing on the punching bag.

According to media sources, Russian boxer Pavel, 27, held the previous world record, which was eclipsed by eight-year-old Martin. With a tally of 918 blows in three minutes, Pavel previously held the world record for the most kickboxing punches. Martin Malik, a youthful fighter, beat Pavel’s record by striking 1,105 times in the same amount of time.

By surpassing Pavel’s previous record of 918 punches, Martin not only set two global records but also two records in Asia and India, among other remarkable achievements. In addition, Martin was honored by the London Parliament for setting a global kickboxing record.

Martin has received a lot of praise and is seen as an inspiration by many. Neeraj Chopra, an Olympic gold medallist, invited Martin Malik to a dinner and training session after learning about his accomplishments. In addition to expressing his satisfaction, Neeraj Chopra urged him to keep practicing the sport. Martin received Neeraj’s assurance that he would have his support and that he had the capacity to succeed in the future.

Martin was praised and received congratulations from even Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. Best wishes were expressed, and he noted that sports and courage were firmly engrained in Haryana’s young people.
