“Story of Hope”: How a Tech Influencer at Delhi’s Jama Masjid Recovered His Lost iPhone and Xiaomi Civi 2

In an event that can only be characterized as pure serendipity, tech influencer “Tech Star Shahrukh” revealed a narrative of misplacing and then amazingly discovering his Xiaomi Civi 2 and iPhone 13 in Jama Masjid in Delhi. He recalled how he and his wife had brought three cellphones with them when they went to the mosque for Ramadan iftar: an Apple iPhone 13, a Xiaomi Civi 2, and a Redmi K50 Ultra. But as they were leaving, they saw that the two phones they had in their bag—the Xiaomi and the iPhone—were stolen and that the compartment was open.

Shahrukh acknowledged his error immediately, saying, “What I did wrong was that I disregarded the warnings about thieves that were posted all over the place. I disregarded my wife’s advice to keep the sack on my chest. Even my wife requested that to give her my purse once, but I disregarded her request! Nevertheless, he made the decision to attempt recovering the phone using his IT expertise.

He was shocked to see that his Xiaomi phone was still on, even though he couldn’t follow his iPhone since it had been turned off. This was probably because he recalled putting it on because of the Xiaomi phone’s “Shutdown Confirmation” function, which required a password to shut down the device. This turned out to be a very important element.

Shahrukh was able to find the lost phone by using the Xiaomi website’s “Find My Device” feature. The phone was found close to Jama Masjid Gate No. 2 when it began to ring loudly. “The Xiaomi CIVI 2 has begun to sound well.No matter what, the burglars are unable to quiet it. Yes, they have experimented in various methods, as shown in this video. However, they completely failed to mute the alarm, which could have startled them,” he said.

He couldn’t hear the call because of the congestion, but someone answered and sent him in the direction of Gate No. 2, where his phones were waiting for him.

Then, an amazing event took place. “When I met him, he returned both of my phones,” as Shahrukh said. Both the Civi 2 and the iPhone 13. Alarm was still going off on Civi 2. He informed me that he had located my phone on the floor. I thanked him, took my phone, and asked him some questions.

It seemed as like his phone was meant to be returned to him, or maybe it was all because of the strategies he used.

Still, the article has received an astounding 2 million views on the website since it was posted.
