Ayodhya was completely renovated in the interim before the temple was dedicated. Large hotel corporations built other locations to house visitors as well.

On a huge screen outside the temple, about 8,000 people, including lawmakers, businesspeople, athletes, and movie stars, watched the ceremony. As the Lord Ram sculpture was unveiled, a military chopper showered the attendees with petals from flowers. Hindu priests sang hymns within the inner sanctuary of the temple while PM Narendra Modi, RSS chairman Mohan Bhagwat, and Uttar Pradesh chairman Minister Yogi Adityanath oversaw the inaugural ceremony.
