2024 Bank Holiday: Will There Be Bank Closures Tomorrow? View the Complete List Here

According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list, banks in a few states will be closed on May 1, 2024, in honor of May Day and Maharashtra Day. Maharashtra Day is observed on May 1st to commemorate the creation of Maharashtra in India. It commemorates the day in 1960 when the state was formally established after the linguistic reorganization of states.

In addition to regional holidays, which may vary depending on state traditions and the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in 2024, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and state governments decide on the bank holiday calendar.

Due to religious holidays and weekend closures, bank clients should plan for around 10 non-working days at local banks in May 2024. National banks will observe 13 non-working days, which will include the second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays off.
