Although Zuckerberg made it extremely simple for Instagram users to join up, you should be aware that you cannot erase your Threads profile. You will also need to permanently remove the Instagram account you used to sign up for Threads in order to erase your Threads profile and any associated data.

You can only temporarily disable your Threads profile after you’ve registered. There is just no way to deactivate your Threads profile without also deleting your Instagram account.

Please take note that canceling your Threads account will have no impact on your Instagram account. If you delete your Instagram account, everything will alter. Your connected Threads profile will immediately deactivate if you delete your Instagram account.

You may only deactivate your Threads profile once every week, which is another side. It’s obvious that Zuckerberg doesn’t want individuals to leave so quickly. Deactivating your profile is the only method to leave Threads at the moment.

How to Deactivate or Delete an Instagram Threads Account:

Since you are unable to deactivate your Threads profile on your own, take these instructions:

3. Select Account, followed by Deactivate profile.

4. Select Deactivate Threads profile, then click OK.

What happens when your Threads profile is deactivated?

Your postings and interactions with other people’s posts won’t be available on Threads after you deactivate your Threads profile. Please take note that cancelling your Threads profile will not destroy any of your Threads data or have any impact on your Instagram account. Posts will need to be deleted one by one.

The simplest method to completely erase Threads if you don’t like it is to also permanently deactivate your Instagram account.
