Check Out the Complete List: Samsung Galaxy AI Is Soon Arriving On These Old Devices

According to a community post on the company’s website, Samsung plans to bring its most recent AI capabilities to some of its earlier Galaxy devices, including the S21 and S22. It’s important to note that not all capabilities will be compatible with these older devices; the deployment of these features is planned to start in early May.

The community comment states that the AI functions of the S23 FE will be available to the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, Flip 4, Fold 4, and Tab S8 series. This implies that most of the functions will be available to these devices, with the exception of the Instant Slow-mo feature that is exclusive to the FE series. Two AI capabilities, Circle to Search and Chat Assist, will be available for the Galaxy S21 series, Flip 3, and Fold 3.
These enhancements are expected to launch at the same time as the One UI 6.1 upgrade. However, what precisely is Galaxy AI?

Galaxy AI is a collection of artificial intelligence elements that Samsung unveiled at the Unpacked event with the goal of improving the functioning of its products. Samsung said that it would include this technology into a variety of Galaxy products, including tablets and smartphones such as the Galaxy Tab S9 series, Galaxy S23 series, and Galaxy Z Fold5 and Flip5.

The One UI 6.1 upgrade includes Galaxy AI in an effort to democratize powerful AI features by increasing user accessibility. Real-time multilingual translation, AI-assisted picture editing, and customized AI recommendations for activities like note-taking and online surfing are some of the services enabled by Galaxy AI.

By providing over 100 million people with mobile AI capabilities by 2024, Samsung hopes to enhance creativity, productivity, and communication by providing user-friendly AI tools. This is the main goal of its Galaxy AI initiative.
