Check Out This New ‘Stories’ Feature On Telegram That Instagram And WhatsApp Lack

Popular instant messaging service Telegram has made a WhatsApp-like Stories feature available to all of its users. Users will be able to alter their Stories even after they have been published, which gives the idea of Stories a new perspective.

Users of Telegram may now alter a variety of elements of their story at any time, including as visibility, captions, on-screen text, stickers, and more, without having to delete and republish the material. The functionality is absent from Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat.

According to Telegram, “you can update any element of your story at any time, changing its visibility, caption, on-screen text, stickers, or anything else, for the first time in the history of social media, without having to delete and repost it from scratch.”

With over 800 million users globally, Telegram has also expanded its privacy settings, provided a unique dual camera feature, offered variable time choices, and more.

You may still view the whole of your conversation list and folders since stories are presented in an expanded area at the top of your screen, the statement said.

By default, users’ home pages will display updates from all of their contacts. Users may submit tales to conversations that have been preserved and conceal stories from certain pals using the software.

Using Telegram’s robust media editor, the Stories feature allows users to add text, drawings, stickers, and location marks. Friend tagging, expanded text descriptions, and link integration are further features of captions.

When sharing a story, users may choose between four distinct privacy settings: Everyone, My Contacts, Close Friends, and Selected Contacts. Stories may be scheduled to run for 6, 12, 24, or 48 hours. Users have the option to upload their tales on their profiles, where they are displayed in an aesthetically appealing grid format as a highlight reel.
