Google Search Now Draws Circles on Mobile Devices, But Not Everyone Can Use It: Complete Details

Google is experimenting with new methods to encourage users to search for information online, with mobile being the obvious target. Samsung is receiving a sneak peek at the AI-driven features that the firm is adding to its high-end products.

You may now access search on your mobile device without really clicking on the search button to get the information you need. To get information on any product or item from the internet, just draw a circle around it. Yes, Circle to Search is what Google is calling it, and it’s as easy as merely circling to search. You may use the S Pen that comes with the Galaxy S24 Ultra variant to draw this if you purchase the Samsung phone. You may highlight text or even doodle on objects you wish to search for in addition to circling them.

In order to provide interactive search capabilities to mobile devices and ultimately the web, Google launched Lens. However, with the circle to search and the whole emphasis on AI, it seems like the next logical step in the growth of search—at least until something more sophisticated is released.

Even with Lens, you had to take a screenshot before running it through the search function to see results. To use Circle to Search, just long-press the home button to launch the function, then mark the item or picture to let Google’s artificial intelligence (AI) do the rest.

However, as we previously said, when Google’s new search algorithm launches on January 31, it will only work with the Google Pixel 8 Pro and Galaxy S24 devices. It is anticipated that the other high-end Android phones would get it at a later date this year. We can’t wait to test out this new function, which is limited to US users and will be updated in the Google app for iOS and Android.
