Here’s how it will operate once Meta announces broadcast channels for Facebook and Messenger

Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, has revealed that Facebook and Messenger will soon have the Telegram-like “broadcast channels” functionality. This capability has already been implemented by the business to WhatsApp and Instagram, and it will likely be made available soon.

Zuckerberg just said on Facebook that “Broadcast Channels are coming to Facebook and Messenger in the coming weeks.” “Pages will be able to send voice notes, text messages, photos/videos, and GIFs to anyone that joins their channels,” he said. Creators and other users will be able to communicate directly with their followers thanks to this technology.

Broadcast channels are one-way communication systems that are exclusively used by the channel’s originator to transmit messages. On the other side, viewers may reply to these remarks and participate in polls, making for engaging and dynamic material.

“We’re currently testing the ability for Pages to create broadcast channels and expect to roll this out in the coming weeks,” Meta said on its website. “To keep up with the newest news from their favourite Pages, anyone on Facebook can subscribe to these broadcast channels,” it said.

Anyone with a Facebook Page will be able to create a channel. They may launch a channel from their Page and encourage their fans to subscribe after they publish the first message. Viewers may easily join broadcast channels and get notifications anytime a new message is published from a Page’s Facebook profile.

League of Legends, Netflix, WWE, and the International Cricket Committee are just a few of the well-known networks that are currently accessible on Facebook and Messenger. The expansion of the “broadcast channels” function exemplifies Meta’s commitment to enhancing user interaction and engagement on its platforms by giving public figures and artists a powerful tool for connecting with and engaging their audiences.
