NTPC places an order with BHEL for the expansion of the Singrauli Super Thermal Power Project at Rs. 9500 crore

The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC Ltd) has given the Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) an order to establish the Singrauli Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-III (2×800 MW), in the Uttar Pradesh district of Sonebhadra.

The award notice was sent out on Tuesday. There was a competitive international bidding process.

Regarding timeliness, Unit 1’s Completion of Facilities (COF) shall be completed in 50 months, and Unit 2’s COF in 54 months.The deal value, exclusive of GST, exceeds Rs 9,500 crores.
