Realme Reveals a New Smartphone That Looks Like It Might Be the Realme 12 Pro+

Realme is getting ready to release a new smartphone featuring a periscope zoom camera in India shortly. The Chinese electronics company has teased the upcoming release of its new flagship smartphone on social media, but it hasn’t revealed the name or the specific date of release. It is being reported that the future phone will be the Realme 12 Pro+. It may replace the Realme 11 Pro+, which became available nationwide in July.

Realme announced the arrival of a new smartphone in the nation with a teaser post on X. The tweet’s slogan, “No Periscope. No Flagship,” alludes to improved optical zoom powers. The device’s back is shown with a ring in the poster illustration. The Realme GT 5 Pro, the company’s first flagship phone featuring a periscope telephoto camera, was released earlier this month. Realme hasn’t officially announced the name yet, but rumors suggest that the Realme 12 Pro+ may soon make an appearance.

Separately, leaker Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) said that the Realme 12 Pro+ would debut in February or by the end of January after uploading the teaser picture. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series processor, most likely the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, is said to power it.

Examining the remaining anticipated Realme 12 Pro+ attributes, it is said to have a 64-megapixel OmniVision OV64B periscope telephoto camera, capable of achieving a 3x optical zoom. The device might make its debut at a price point of around CNY 2,000, or about Rs. 23,000, in the mid-range smartphone market. It could be released concurrently with the Realme 12 and Realme 12 Pro.

In June, Realme 11 Pro+ made its debut in India, retailing for Rs. 27,999 at launch. It has a 5,000mAh battery and is powered by the Realme UI 4.0 custom skin, which is based on Android 13. Along with these characteristics, the phone has a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC and a 200-megapixel triple back camera array.
