Some users in India are apparently receiving the Meta AI chatbot via WhatsApp: This is how to apply it

In India, WhatsApp is introducing a new feature that uses generative AI. The recently released function adds a Meta AI chatbot to the instant messaging service. Some users in India might see the Meta AI emblem in the main chat list. The Large Language Model Meta AI (Llama) is the foundation of meta AI. It makes it possible for WhatsApp users to talk about anything.

On Wednesday, attendees at Gadgets 360 had the opportunity to test out this AI-powered function. according to the snapshot that the magazine posted. The hashtag “#with Llama” appears when the Meta AI chat window opens, along with a verified badge. Users are encouraged to ask Meta AI anything via the chat pop-up, which also offers a variety of provocative suggestions that may be accessed by swiping through a carousel layout. “Imagine a car race on Mars,” “Imagine a holographic bus,” “Healthy life goals,” and other similar exercises are among the suggestions.

Similar to Microsoft’s Cortana assistant, the Meta AI icon is located in the upper right corner of the screen next to the Camera and New Chat choices.

Only the English language is supported by the Meta AI capability, which is presently only accessible in a few countries. The platform informs you that “Messages from Meta AI and other characters are generated by artificial intelligence (AI), using a service from Meta, in response to the prompts you send to the AI” when you start a chat session with the AI.

Additionally, the site makes it clear that Meta AI is limited to reading and responding to messages that specifically mention @MetaAI; other talks are not accessible to the tool. “As always, your personal messages and calls remain end-to-end encrypted, meaning not even WhatsApp or Meta can see or listen to them,” the prompt further states.

This is how you can speak with Meta AI if you think this feature is interesting.

Step 1: Tap the circle symbol in the upper right corner of the main chat list on WhatsApp to initiate a conversation using the Meta AI feature.

Step 2: Next, choose a recommended question from the screen or create your own, read and agree to the conditions (if requested), and press the send button to start a discussion.

Interestingly, WhatsApp gathers user input via its Meta AI function, which lets users pick ‘good answer’ or ‘bad response’ from AI-generated replies, provide a reason, and submit it.
