Deoghar Airport is all ready to launch direct flights to Bengaluru on June 1st, increasing accessibility to air travel.

Increasing connection from the holy city to South India and other places is the goal of this new route.

English Jagran reports that the initial flight is slated to land on election day at 12:40 pm, providing a convenient chance for South Indian residents who work there to come home and vote in the 2024 Lok Sabha Election.

The Deoghar-Bangalore route, which is being operated by Indigo, would cost Rs 6,500. This will be the airport’s second major metropolitan link after Delhi. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays are when the 186-seat Airbus will operate.

The airport now offers daily direct flights to Delhi and Kolkata, and it soon expects to start offering flights to Mumbai. After July, other airlines are anticipated to begin operations, which would improve air connectivity in the area even further. It is projected that this development would facilitate pilgrims visiting Parasnath and the 12th Jyotirlinga while also strengthening the local economy.

Travelers, especially those who work in Bengaluru and sometimes struggle to see their families because of limited vacation time, would particularly benefit from this change. It will also be a relief to the people who live in Santhal Pargana, Anga Pradesh, and the surrounding districts, who were previously dependent only on train transportation.

The Minister of Civil Aviation and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) have given Deoghar Airport all the technical certifications it needs, according to Nishikant Dubey, the MP for Godda.

He stressed that the Deoghar-Bengaluru air services were established through consistent efforts, which was a major step forward in improving regional connectivity.
