TCS has been named the world’s best employer for 2024—its ninth consecutive year at the top

According to a release, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been acknowledged as a top employer globally by the esteemed Top Employers Institute. TCS is at the top of the list for the ninth time in a row.

TCS stated in a statement that it has been recognized as a top employer in 32 countries and regions, including Europe, the UK, the Middle East, North America, Latin America, and Southeast Asia. The worldwide accreditation comes after a string of localized certificates.

For the seventh year running, TCS said that its innovative talent development and employee engagement programs have strengthened its standing as a top employer worldwide.

One of TCS’s key values is employee-centricity. As of December 31, 2023, the company employed 6,03,305 people from 55 countries, representing 153 different nationalities. According to TCS, 35.7% of its employees are women.

“TCS is a longstanding certified Top Employer,” said David Plink, CEO of the Top Employers Institute. First by nation, then by region, and for the last several years, a prominent Global Top Employer. This demonstrates TCS’s people-centricity and vision. a genuine collaboration between the employer and the workforce.

Based on a thorough evaluation of 20 themes and six core HR domains—including work environment, diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, people strategy, well-being, and learning—TCS was accredited as a top employer.

“TCS exceeded expectations in every category, but it was particularly commended for two industry-first projects: the ‘Engagement with Purpose’ framework and the ‘TCS Elevate’ program for employee development.

“To be recognised as a global top employer by the Top Employers Institute is a validation of our talent engagement and transformation practices across the globe,” said TCS Chief HR Officer Milind Lakkad. Receiving this accreditation for the eighth year in a row is humble, but it is encouraging to see TCS recognized globally for its people practices.
