A first-generation businessman from India after independence, Balvant Parekh. The Fevicol Man, as he was affectionately known, founded Pidilite Industries in 1959, a company that revolutionized adhesive products in the Indian market. When he first started the business, it was confronted with many difficulties and difficulties. The Fevicol Company, which as of 2022 had a remarkable net worth of Rs 44.65 billion, was founded by the brilliant Balvant Parekh. Balvant Parekh, who started off as a peon, altered the terrain with unrelenting drive. He started a business that has helped others and won him recognition throughout the world. His invention, Fevicol, became a disruptive force, replacing conventional components like collagen and animal fat gum. Carpenters, engineers, artists, business owners, and the general public all rely on Fevicol, which now is used in 54 different nations.

Balvant Parekh, a law graduate who was born in Mahua in Gujarat’s Bhavnagar district in 1925, never pursued a career in the legal field. Instead, he started a voyage at a Mumbai printing press before working as an office assistant at a lumber company. He and his wife even lived there for a while during this period, when he carefully studied the details of carpentry.

Balvant Parekh started businesses that included bringing bicycles, areca nuts, and paper colors from the West to India because he had entrepreneurial ambitions. He and his brother co-founded Parekh Dyechem Industries in Mumbai when the company’s managing director passed away. He had extended an invitation to visit Germany for a month. They finally created an adhesive called Fevicol while gradually expanding their ownership of Fedco. In 1959, Fevicol made its debut in India. The business changed its name to Pidilite Industries in the same year. A user-friendly glue made specifically for woodworkers, Fevicol was developed.

The company began focusing on worldwide expansion in 2006 and opened factories in a number of countries, including the US, Thailand, Dubai, Egypt, and Bangladesh. The business has established a research center in Singapore to support this growth. Pidilite Industries turned an outwardly unremarkable product into a top brand using clever marketing strategies.
