Where Can I Get FASTags? View The Entire List Of Issuers Approved By The NHAI

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) withdrew Paytm Payments Bank Ltd. (PPBL) from its list of FASTag issuing NBFCs and banks after the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) ordered the liquidation of Paytm Payments Bank due to non-compliance and supervisory issues. It has recently made available a revised list of FASTag holders. The new lists include 39 banks and NBFCs that are authorized to issue FASTags to drivers.

Even though the RBI decided to give Paytm Payments Bank until March 15 instead of February 29, it has made it clear in its FAQ that fastags are not interchangeable. Clients need to request a refund and terminate their Fastag accounts with PPBL. After that, they’ll need to get a new Fastag from a different bank.

“Travel seamlessly with Fastag Official! Get your FASTag from approved banks right now to travel the National Highways more smoothly. Go to https://fastag.ihmcl.com or https://netc.org.in/request-for-netc-fastag to learn more!,” the NHAI’s official X (formerly Twitter) account said.

Many car owners who previously bought their FASTags from PPBL are now obligated to buy their FASTags from any other issuing bank after Paytm Payment Bank Ltd. was removed from the list of FASTag issuing banks. Nevertheless, they are still able to use their current Paytm FASTag until there is money in their account.

After March 15, 2024, there will be no further Paytm FASTag account topping-ups allowed, according to announcements from the RBI and NHAI. Users of Paytm FASTag should thus purchase a new FASTag from a different authorized bank.
