After her divorce, Manisha Koirala talks candidly about finding love again and remarks, “It’ll Be Nice To Have Partner.”

Audiences have adored Manisha Koirala for her roles in legendary films like “Dil Se…,” “Saudagar,” “Bombay,” and several more. However, the actress has never made a big deal out of her personal life or dating status. For the first time, the diva—who can presently be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix series “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar”—has discussed her divorce. She also described experiencing depressive symptoms and anxiety attacks. The actress from Bombay also spoke about her desire to find a life mate.

In a Zoom interview, Manisha spoke about how she dealt with her cancer diagnosis and her divorce from businessman Samrat Dahal, who is located in Nepal. “Some people are lucky because they don’t experience as many highs and lows and lead very peaceful lives,” she remarked. I’m also fortunate to have had a wide range of experiences. All I can hope for is that my perspective on life is at least not sour. That’s what I’m working on. What I can alter and how I see life—that is, whether I see a glass half full or half empty—are the subjects of my work. Do I think that life is traumatizing? No. Don’t I get more life experience every time I go through horrific events? Don’t my experiences and my first-hand knowledge of such a severe tragedy just make me richer?

“I do experience insecurity and anxiety attacks.” I own everything that everyone has. I also have a lot of sadness and depression. However, I tell her, “No, Manisha, get up. Let’s go for a walk.” I think that after going through a lot, you also realize that things are not as simple as they seem. You are able to get up and move. It’s been said that life is more about getting back up after a fall and moving on than it is about falling. I live by that philosophy,” she said.

She also acknowledged that she wished to find a life partner once again. “I do,” the actress said. If I claim otherwise, I will be lying. There is no denying that I have a masculine figure in my life. It would be lovely to have a partner in my life, if there were one. To be absolutely honest, however, I won’t spend my time waiting for such individuals; we are not that kind of people. If it’s in my destiny, then I’ll get it if mere kismat mein likhi hai. If it’s not real, it’s not real enough. Mujhe lagta hai, I have a complete life to live.

The film “Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar,” starring Manisha Koirala, will be released on May 1. In significant roles throughout the series are Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Sharmin Segal. Mitakshara Kumar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali are the show’s directors.
