Fans of La La Land had a lot to be grateful for during the BAFTAs event on Sunday. Emma Stone, who received another prize for Poor Things, and Ryan Gosling, the main actor in La La Land, had a lovely moment at the 77th British Academy Film Awards.

The adorable moment
Ryan clapped and even winked at Emma as she emerged from her seat to come to the stage after being named Best Actress. Emma gave him a grin. Look at this precious moment:

The performers’ admirers were pleased to see them in a frame together. One on X said, “Sebastian actually applauding Mia Dolan,” referencing Ryan and Emma’s roles in La La Land. Another person said, “These two have such 2017 vibes this award season.” La La Land swept over the awards season in 2017.

Ryan’s and Emma’s BAFTA nominees
Emma won the award for Yorgos Lanthimos’ Poor Things, for which she was nominated. Ryan’s role as Ken in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Actor. In the end, Robert Downey Jr. took home the Oppenheimer prize.

Emma congratulated her mother as she got her medal. “Because she’s the most amazing person I’ve ever met and she motivates me every day.” I’m really appreciative to her for constantly giving me the ridiculous notion that I could pull off anything like this. Nothing here would exist, not even my existence, without her! Thus, mom, thank you also for that!

The films of Emma and Ryan
Together, Emma and Ryan have acted in three movies: La La Land, Gangster Squad, and Crazy Stupid Love. Damien Chazelle directed La La Land, which brought Emma her first Best Actress Oscar in 2017. In the movie, Emma portrayed an aspiring actress attempting to break through in Hollywood, while Ryan played a jazz musician. After a coincidental encounter, they fall in love, but their paths diverge due to their enthusiasm for their respective goals.
