Atlee Kumar talks candidly about reuniting with Shah Rukh Khan after the success of Jawan: “I can master a subject more than Jawan.”

Riding high on the success of his big-budget film Jawan, Tamil filmmaker Atlee Kumar has professed his appreciation for Shah Rukh Khan, calling him the pinnacle of elegance and popularity in Indian cinema. He also said he would want to collaborate with SRK once again.

At the ABP Conclave, Atlee remarked, “I love all his films, DDLJ, Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Om Shanti Om, Chennai Express, I can go on and on.” He was grateful for the chance to work with Shah Rukh Khan on his fifth directorial endeavor.

He is, in my opinion, the public face of Indian film. Thus, working with Mr. Shah Rukh sir is a dream come true. Thankfully, my fifth movie allowed me to do that. I believe I have justified God’s kindness.”

Regarding the potential for future collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan, Atlee was quite clear in his response. “Undoubtedly, I will surpass Jawan in a certain subject, and I will undoubtedly approach him.” If he wants, I can tell him the story, therefore it will happen,” the director said with assurance.
“I am aware of his deep affection for me, but he is more than that. He exudes enthusiasm at all times. I have never seen a better guy than him. I’m grateful, Shah Rukh sir. When I figure out anything more advanced than Jawan, I’ll come see you. Without a doubt, I shall visit you,” Atlee said.
