Bobby Deol Explains How He Got the Part in the Ranbir Kapoor Film Animal: “Bekaari Ke Din”

He recalled his encounter with Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the director, saying, “I never thought I would get such a great role because of the state of my career.” He said that when he was participating in Celebrity Cricket League, Sandeep had shown him his photo.

“Sandeep showed me a photo of myself from when I played Celebrity Cricket League. I wasn’t working much at the time,” he said. I was staring out into the horizon when I took the picture. He remarked, “This expression makes me want to cast you.” I want this for the movie “I said chalo bekaari ke din kaam aa gaye” (my days of unemployment were productive for me).
