Bramayugam, starring Mammootty, wins big at the box office, taking in Rs 16.96 crore in its first weekend

Mammootty’s most recent role in the horror thriller Bramayugam has been a huge hit, captivating viewers and taking home the top spot at the box office. With outstanding directing and outstanding acting, the movie has topped its impressive first-week gross of Rs 16.96 crore.

Bramayugam, a horror thriller directed by Rahul Sadasivan, has received appreciation for its gripping plot. According to recent sources, the movie’s box office performance in Kerala has been remarkable, which has contributed significantly to its total success. Bramayugam is expected to have raised a net collection of Rs 15.75 crore in its first six days of operation across India. On its seventh day, across all languages, it raised an extra Rs 1.20 crore.

As it entered its seventh day, Bramayugam was still very popular in theaters, with a notable 21.45 percent occupancy rate for Malayalam screenings. The occupancy breakdown by time of day revealed that morning performances accounted for 9.46% of all shows, afternoon concerts for 17.96%, evening shows for 25.58%, and night shows—which were especially noteworthy—for 32.79 percent.

Bramayugam, which stars Mammootty and Arjun Ashokan in key parts, is a suspenseful tale of mysterious mystery. The story follows Arjun Ashokan’s character as he discovers the sinister secrets kept within Mammootty’s home while seeking solace there after the mysterious death of a friend. The film’s success may be attributed to both its compelling plot and the cast’s exceptional performances.

The third feature film directed by Rahul Sadasivan has received praise for its deft handling of caste, feudalism, physical possession, and witchcraft in addition to its casting of the renowned Mammootty in a villainous part. The eerie black-and-white cinematography, however, is what has drawn the most attention.

The title character, Kodumon Potti, is played by Mammootty. The Hon’ble High Court of Kerala changed the character’s original name to reflect the turbulent and delicate times we live in. Thevan, a Paanan (court singer) played by Arjun Ashokan, is portrayed by Sidharth Bharathan as Potti’s chef.
