Concept drawings by Aadujeevitham are shown by Sethu Sivanandan

With ‘Aadujeevitham’ directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran receiving widespread acclaim, the filmmakers have now released the character drawings that were never seen.

These designs, created by sketch artist Sethu Sivanandan, reveal heartbreaking iterations of Najeeb and provide insight into director Blessy’s idea for the character prior to the start of the film’s production.

A set of concept drawings showing Najeeb’s journey from his pre-departure days to his terrifying adventures as a goatherd in Saudi Arabia have now been released by Sethu Sivanandan.

The finely drawn drawings, which were posted on his official Facebook page, show Najeeb’s development and the lasting effects of his experiences, including his horror at being imprisoned and his battle for survival. Blessy oversaw their creation. In several drawings, Najeeb is shown in many ways, offering a deeper understanding of the character’s nuance.
Sethu explains in the shared video that concept drawings based on Najeeb’s metamorphosis were created for director Blessy even before the movie started to shoot.
He went on to say that although some of the drawings were utilised, some weren’t. Sethu said, “Blessy sir, you have detailed everything—down to the scars on his face.”
After 16 years in the making, “Aadujeevitham” has finally made its theatrical debut to much applause from both reviewers and viewers, with many complimenting Prithviraj’s outstanding performance as Najeeb and Blessy’s outstanding direction. The public is also giving actor Gokul’s portrayal of Hakkeem positive feedback.
