Speaking to ETimes about the film’s plot, Prabhavalkar said, “The film’s premise is based on the genuine experience of an elderly couple experiencing an existential crisis. Since we often discuss mercy killing and passive euthanasia—the taking of a person’s life because they have a terminal illness, are in pain, are unconscious, or whatever else—there is such a thing as active euthanasia. It’s called ‘Iccha-Mrityu’ in Marathi. You still claim the right to die even if I am in good bodily and mental health. That’s right—you want to die. I’ve made up my mind to die. And I will pass away contentedly. Fear is an unreal concept. They are content with their lives. Enjoy our deaths, please. We may die contentedly rather than doing this.”This is legal in the nation. such as the Netherlands, Canada, and Switzerland. This is permitted in some locations.” Additionally, Prabhavalkar said.
Prabhavalkar said, “I wanted to do something new, and when Ananth approached me with this story, it triggered a chain of thoughts I had never had before,” as he revealed specifics about his part in the movie. As soon as Anand described my role, Shishidhar Lele, to me, I said yes. It was something I had never looked into before.”
In the 2006 film “Lage Raho Munna Bhai,” Dilip Prabhavalkar won a National Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Gandhi. “Gandhi was very challenging. I performed the character part for the first time. However, he conceded it was challenging and ended the discussion.
