Fans criticize the mismanagement of the Chennai concert, and AR Rahman breaks his silence; organizers apologize

The commotion that erupted during AR Rahman’s performance in Chennai on Sunday night was ultimately addressed. The musician’s much-anticipated performance, Marakkuma Nenjam, was place over the weekend, and many fans were incensed when they learned that the event was allegedly oversold and they were denied admittance. Many also lamented the poor crowd control that caused fear and suffocation.

Rahman did not make a remark about what happened, but by retweeting the organizers’ apologies, he seemed to criticize the act. ACTC Events apologized to supporters who were unable to attend the event while also appreciating Rahman for his performance on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The organizers tweeted, “#MarakkumaNenjam.” Rahman sent the article but left no remarks. Then he retweeted a comment from a fan thanking him for a memorable night.

The concertgoer recalled a few special moments and claimed they were leaving Vancouver with fond memories. Rahman updated the tweet with an emoji of folded hands. He also published a picture of concertgoers having a good time. Take a look at the videos below:
