In his new song “Be More,” Stephen Sanchez channels an energy from the past

With his latest song, “Be More,” American pop sensation Stephen Sanchez has gone completely retro, evoking the sound of 1960s and 1970s pop. The music video likewise exudes a retro mood.

The 20-year-old singer from Nashville performed one of the strongest vocal performances of his career to date, hitting some very beautiful high notes while shouting them out with a lot of passion. The accompanying piano and straightforward percussion gave the song a very jazzy feel.

Stephen truly has an Elvis Presley-like appearance in this scene, and even his singing technique is somewhat similar of some of the hit songs that Elvis, John Lennon, or Paul McCartney have performed over their careers. Even while he may not possess the skills of these luminaries, he undoubtedly exudes that aura, and that alone is quite energizing.

The song is from his forthcoming album “Angel Face,” which tells the story of Stephen Sanchez, a fictitious character known as “The Troubadour Sanchez,” who achieves popularity thanks to his 1958 hit “Until I Found You” before having his whole existence turned upside down when he met his future wife Evangeline in 1964.

Introducing “Be More” It’s a conversation between lovers, in this instance ‘The Troubadour Sanchez’ and Evangeline, according to Sanchez. Speaking of how much he desires Evangeline, “The Troubadour Sanchez” challenges her to “Be More.” ‘Be More’ is far more than ‘I love you’ and ‘I need you,’ for example.

“Both parties are pleading and declaring their love. That is the song’s intended meaning. It confirms that your love is greater than anything you could ever comprehend, comprehend, or grasp in your hands on your own, he said.

Stephen made the following statement about “Angel Face”: “When you hear Angel Face, I want you to know that these songs were created for you to soundtrack the times of great love and deep pain inside your life. For every condition of the soul, there is a song. I hope you can relate to this tale when you hear it. I’m hoping you’ll discover them there—the one who makes this life so much more lovely.

With his most recent track, “Only Girl,” which he first performed live on his sold-out tour this spring, Sanchez set the ground for “Angel Face,” and fans have been clamoring for its formal release ever since. The actress Frances O’Sullivan from the “Evangeline” visualiser is prominently featured in the following movie visualiser.

Along with other accomplishments, Stephen collaborated with the great Sir Elton John to sing his Double-Platinum, billion-plus streaming smash “Until I Found You” during the latter’s last Glastonbury headline performance. At Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge’s lavish wedding earlier this summer, he also sang the love ballad.

In anticipation of Sanchez’s much anticipated full-length debut album, “Angel Face,” which will release on platforms on September 22, 2023, “Be More” made its debut on Apple Music’s New Music Daily playlist.
