Kunal Kemmu claims that on his first meeting with Saif Ali Khan and Sharmila Tagore, he was “terrified.”

Recently, Kunal Kemmu spoke back to his wife Soha Ali Khan about their early courting and related stories about how nervous he was to meet her illustrious family for the first time. Thinking back to his nervousness when he first saw Bollywood star Saif Ali Khan and film actress Sharmila Tagore, Kunal shared his honest thoughts on those special times.

Speaking on Raj Shamani’s podcast, Kunal said that despite feeling like “she was way out of his league,” he considered Soha to be his girlfriend after seeing one of her films. He acknowledged, “It was an organic meeting and I was terrified,” when speaking of his first encounter with Soha’s family. The actor said that seeing one’s parents naturally makes one feel more nervous, especially in her family where everyone is a champion and celebrity, in response to the question of whom he was most excited to meet.

When Kunal first saw Saif Ali Khan, he reminisced, “I first met Saif Bhai when we used to play pool at a friend’s place.” We met while playing pool, and he was there with one of his pals. He said, “You’ve got good biceps,” right away. He was the coolest guy I can recall.” He said that after playing a few competitive games, they spoke about health, travel, and other things.

“The most intimidating part was meeting Amma, Soha’s mom,” Kunal said, describing his encounter with Sharmila Tagore. Even though she is so kind, I felt intimidated despite the fact that it was also really amazing. I recall that Amma avoided looking at me for a considerable amount of time. She wasn’t posing queries to me. “So, what do you do?” she said, glancing at a magazine. That happened during our first encounter. We settled in on our second encounter after I was able to make eye contact. We enjoyed dinners together and had cooking sessions since we are both passionate cooks.”

Soha Ali Khan and Kunal Kemmu dated for a while before getting married in 2015. Inaaya Naumi, their daughter, was a blessing to their relationship and opened a new chapter in their journey together in 2017.

Regarding his career, Kunal will star with Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Madan in the forthcoming comedy-action picture Go Goa Gone 2 directed by Krishna DK and Raj Nidimoru. He will also appear in Golmaal 5, directed by Rohit Shetty.
