Meet the well-known TV actress who gave up performing in 2019 to launch a Rs. 820 crore firm

A small minority of individuals decide to take a big chance and leave their jobs to start another one from the ground up after experiencing success and notoriety. But not many individuals who are persistent and driven succeed in that as well. One such motivational tale is that of Aashka Goradia, a well-known television actress who starred in many Hindi soap operas.

2019 saw her leave a television program. After that, she decided to take a risk and changed careers to become an entrepreneur. In 2020, she and her college pals Priyank Shah and Ashutosh Valani founded Renee Cosmetics. Over the years, they have introduced a number of beauty goods. Their achievement of reaching a $100 million revenue in only two years after the company’s founding was their main triumph.

In an interview, Shah said that they want to bring in Rs 400 crore in income by FY 2024. Goradia, the company’s director and chief marketing officer, is in charge of managing products as well as marketing and communications, while the two co-founders of Beardo supervise finance, operations, and distribution.

The Ahmedabad-based startup got $25 million in funding the previous year. At the time, the company’s founder claimed that the company’s total value, including all three fundraising rounds, was $100 million. Their product line consists over 200 items that can be purchased on Amazon, Flipkart, Nykaa, and Myntra. Additionally, more than 650 outlets carry it. The firm is fiercely competing with Vineeta Singh’s Sugar and Falguni Nayar’s Nykaa thanks to its enormous income.

Prior to setting out on a prosperous business career, Goradia made her television debut in 2002 as Kumud in Kkusum on the program Achanak 37 Saal Baad. She has also appeared in films like Virrudh on Sony TV, Akela, Sinndoor Tere Naam Ka on Zee TV, and Mere Apne on 9X.

Her bad nature also helped her become quite famous. Later on, she began to appear on reality TV. In 2019, she completed a significant acting role on Daayan.
