POSTPONES Emergency: Kangana Ranaut’s Movie Will Now Be Released in 2024

The release date of Kangana Ranaut’s eagerly awaited movie Emergency, which was initially scheduled for November 2023, has now been changed to next year. The movie’s new release date is November 24, 2024. The actress explained why the group had to make this choice on X.

Dear friends, she wrote. I want to let you know something very important: my life’s worth of artistic endeavors and learnings have culminated in the movie Emergency. For me, the movie Emergency serves as a test of my own value and character. We were all inspired by the overwhelming reaction that our teaser and other units received from everyone.

“My heart is full of gratitude, and everywhere I go, people ask me when Emergency will be released,” she said. Although we had set the release date for Emergency for November 24, 2023, we have now decided to move it to the next year (2024) due to the changes in my back-to-back feature release schedule.

“New release date will be announced soon, please bear with us, your anticipation, curiosity, and excitement for the film means a lot,” she said. “Yours truly, Kangana Ranaut.”

Speaking of Emergency, Kangana portrays the late politician Indira Gandhi in the movie’s title role, which is based on her life as the former prime minister. In 1975, the country’s Emergency had been established by the previous prime minister.

Anupam Kher plays revolutionary leader J P Narayan in the movie, which also stars Shreyas Talpade as former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Milind Soman as Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. Kangana herself directed the movie.

Kangana is presently getting ready for the premiere of Tejas, in which she will play an air force officer. The movie, which will be produced and directed by Sarvesh Mewara, will debut in theaters on October 27, 2023.
